Overview

About This Tour

Ten days is just enough to see two completely different faces of India — the forts and palaces of the Golden Triangle, and the pine-covered valleys of Kashmir. Arivo Holidays put this route together for travelers who want more than one kind of trip in a single itinerary.

You'll spend the first five days moving through Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, taking in the Taj Mahal, Amber Fort, and the bustle of Old Delhi's markets. From there, a short flight lifts you into Srinagar, and the pace shifts entirely — houseboats, Mughal gardens, and the alpine meadows of Gulmarg and Pahalgam fill out the second half of the trip.

Arivo Holidays manages the flights, private vehicles, hotels, and local guides throughout, so a trip covering plains and mountains alike stays easy to follow from start to finish.

Itinerary

Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

Your Arivo Holidays representative meets you at the airport and takes care of the transfer to your hotel. However much daylight is left, use it your way — rest after the flight, take a short walk nearby, or ask for a quick orientation drive to get your first look at the city. Our team will walk you through the days ahead before you settle in.

Overnight stay: Delhi

2

Your guide picks you up after breakfast for a full day through Old and New Delhi. Jama Masjid's courtyard opens the morning, followed by a rickshaw weaving through Chandni Chowk's packed lanes. From Raj Ghat, you'll drive past India Gate, Parliament House, and Rashtrapati Bhavan before ending at Humayun's Tomb and the Lotus Temple — two very different kinds of architecture, both worth slowing down for.

Overnight stay: Delhi

3

The drive down to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway is smooth and quick, leaving you time to check in and head straight out to Agra Fort — its red sandstone walls hint at what's coming the next morning. As evening sets in, Mehtab Bagh across the river gives you a quiet, uncrowded view of the Taj Mahal at sunset, worth the short trip on its own.

Overnight stay: Agra

4

An early start gets you to the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the marble catches the first light and the crowds haven't arrived yet. After breakfast, the road to Jaipur breaks at Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar's sandstone city, where the Buland Darwaza and Jodha Bai Palace are worth the walk-through. By evening you're checked into Jaipur, with time free to relax or ask about a cultural show at Chokhi Dhani.
Overnight stay: Jaipur

5

Amber Fort opens the day — reached by jeep, with an elephant ride available if you'd like the traditional approach. Your guide takes you through the mirrored halls and courtyards before the day continues to City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal's honeycomb front. Later, Jaipur's markets are worth a slow browse for textiles, jewelry, and handcrafted décor.

Overnight stay: Jaipur

6

After breakfast, it's back to Delhi Airport for your flight north to Srinagar. Landing here feels like arriving somewhere else entirely — your Arivo Holidays representative meets you and takes you to your hotel or a traditional houseboat. In the afternoon, walk through the Mughal-era Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, their terraced lawns backed by the Himalayas, before an evening Shikara ride across Dal Lake.

Overnight stay: Srinagar

7

The drive to Gulmarg takes you through small hamlets like Tangmarg, with mountain views building the whole way. Once there, the Gondola Cable Car ride is the highlight — one of the highest in Asia, climbing over pine forest into snow-covered slopes. Arivo Holidays handles the timings and tickets, so you can just take in the view. The rest of the evening is yours.

Overnight stay: Gulmarg

8

The road to Pahalgam runs alongside the Lidder River, one scenic stretch after another. Once you check in, the pace slows right down — explore the town at your own speed, or ask your Arivo Holidays coordinator to set up a guided walk, a short pony ride, or a photography session. Pahalgam is the kind of place that rewards a slower afternoon.

Overnight stay: Pahalgam

9

Today is built around Pahalgam's valleys. Betaab Valley's alpine meadows and clear streams make for an easy, scenic stop, and Chandanwari or Aru Valley are worth adding on if time allows. Your driver stays with you throughout, so the day can flex around what you'd like to see.

Overnight stay: Pahalgam

10

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your flight back to Delhi. Your Arivo Holidays airport executive assists with boarding and connections for your onward journey — closing out a trip that took you from Mughal monuments to Himalayan valleys, with plenty of Kashmiri hospitality along the way.

Everything About Golden Triangle with Kashmir: Forts, Palaces & Valleys

Book a 10 Days Golden Triangle with Kashmir tour by Arivo Holidays. Explore Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Srinagar, Gulmarg & Pahalgam with flights, guides & transfers.

Most Golden Triangle trips stop at Jaipur. This one, built by Arivo Holidays, keeps going — adding a flight north into Kashmir so the same trip covers Mughal forts and Himalayan valleys both. The shift between the two halves is part of what makes the itinerary work: heritage sightseeing gives way to houseboats, gardens, and mountain air.

The first five days move through Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur at a steady pace, timed around an early Taj Mahal visit and a stop at Fatehpur Sikri. The second half slows down considerably, with Srinagar's lakes, Gulmarg's Gondola ride, and Pahalgam's valleys filling the remaining days. Arivo Holidays manages the flights, vehicles, hotels, and guides throughout, keeping a ten-day trip across two very different regions simple to follow.

Travel Tips for This Trip

  • Pack for Both Climates: Light layers for Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, and warmer clothing for Gulmarg and Pahalgam, especially in cooler months.

  • Book the Gondola Early: Gulmarg's cable car can get busy, so morning slots are worth requesting through your Arivo Holidays coordinator.

  • Keep Documents Handy: Carry your ID, flight tickets, and hotel details, with digital copies saved as backup.

  • Start Sightseeing Early: The Taj Mahal and Amber Fort are both more comfortable to visit before the midday heat and crowds set in.

  • Carry Motion-Sickness Essentials: The mountain roads to Gulmarg and Pahalgam have plenty of curves, so pack accordingly if needed.

  • Stay Connected: A local SIM or roaming plan makes it easy to reach your Arivo Holidays representative anywhere on the route.
